Al Zimmerman has been active in the New York club, cafe, private party,
and restaurant scene for several decades.
Al (on 7-string guitar and vocals) usually performs as a duo with
Brad Baker (on sax and clarinet), playing a tasteful mix of jazz standards,
bossas, show tunes, Beatles, rock and pop. He also performs as a trio
and quartet (with Bill Valicenti on piano), and as a solo guitarist/singer.
When performing solo or duo, Al can "amp things up" to encourage dancing
and partying by using individually arranged "backing tracks" adding drums
and/or bass as needed to complement the performance.
Al frequently donates his time and talent for worthy non-profit and
charitable functions.
